Angels for Brianna Begins Sunday, July 8

Many caring and talented artists are contributing to an online art auction in honor of our daughter Brianna Lauren Grant, Jan. 12, 1990 - June 15, 2007. Angels for Brianna will last for one week, beginning Sunday, July 8, and ending on Saturday, July 14. Our family is so touched and appreciative of the 70 or more artists who have donated their time and talents to memorialize our courageous and beautiful daughter who died in the hospital after four months while undergoing a bone marrow transplant. Brianna is in our hearts and her loss is felt by many. We are broken by her passing. No words can adequately express our gratitude to all of you for your time and talents. For now, we can only say thank you, thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. Please click on the link above for information about the auction.

Hi Iva & Family:
My heart goes out to you. In 1992 my youngest sister passed and my Mom was 85 at the time, ;whispered I am not sure I can go on! My Mom has 5 remaining children and we all know she loves us but to loose her baby girl was so difficult for her. Have peace in your hearts and go as well as you can in this troubled (earth shattering so) time. I felt the tears in your heart reading all of your posts.
Your hearts are wonderful
With sadness

Iva Treavor and John...I came across you site via Rebecca Sowers blog. I know what you are going through and my heart goes out to you. My oldest daughter died when she was just 4 1/2. We had no warning, she suddenly fell ill and within 24 hour was gone. That was four years ago. It still hurts and I still think about her and miss her but the pain does ease over time. I think this aution is such a lovely idea. Keep doing things to remember her and through your suffering and pain you will find the joy of helping others through their time of loss. Keep together as a family and communicate what you are feeling. Everyone grieves differently but we all need to find a way to both grieve and remember the happy times. God bless and I will have you in my prayers even though I don't know you.

I just found your blog from a link, and I just read about your beautiful Brianna. I have a lump in my throat and tears pouring down my face. There are no words I can say that would do what you've been through justice. I just wanted to extend my deepest sympathy, and tell you how sad I feel for you and your family. She was an angel sent her for just a short time

I linked to this blog last night, went back to the first post, and spent 3 hours of learning about your brave, beautiful daughter. I think it was a higher power that drew me to your blog.

I don't know how you have managed but the 3 of you have to continue to be close and to be there for each other,as Brianna would want you to do.

My middle son, then 25, was diagnosed with MDS in December of 2004. He needed and received a stem-cell transplant from his older
brother.

So many things you told us of Brianna I understood only because of my son. He is still with us,has suffered many setbacks these last 3 1/2 years but never losses hope. If you ever what to talk to someone who knows some of what you and your family have been through just e-mail me. I wish I could be there just to hug you right now,no words would need to be spoken.

Iva, John, and Trevor,
I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you all and miss you. I still look towards the alcoves surrounding the inner courtyard at the hospital thinking that I will see you there. I hope your trip to Southern California was comforting.
I send lots of love,
Lizzie

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am a mother and never want to know that kind of pain. Your blog was so touching and beautiful, it must have been so difficult to post during those times. I am so glad you did though, it gives strength to so many. Brianna is only a breath away.

Iva,
I'm sure I speak on behalf of many of the artists that are participating in the auction when i say that Thanks are NOT necessary. I cried through many of your posts, and didn't finish even more of them. I would read your blog, then go and hug and kiss my two girls remembering how lucky we all are to have each other. When Brianna, passed, I was on the phone, and I was just clicking around, and I read it and just started yelling...NO NO NO NO... and I was sooooo upset. I think many of the artists involved needed to be involved so that we could heal too even though I know that the sorrow we feel is only a portion of what you must be feeling. SO, THANK YOU for allowing us to memorialize Brianna in this way so that we could heal a little bit too, and thank you for sharing, it reminds me to be greatful for each day.

Dear Iva,

I have sent my love & prayers to all of you each day since I first began reading your blog. I know only too well how losing your child changes your life forever.
My heart, my love and my prayers are with you all.
I am so honored to be one of the many artist's who have contributed to "Angels for Brianna". In doing this together, my hope is that for you especially and for many of us as well, that this might be a part of the healing process.
I have made a little angel doll for Brianna, which I named Winged Heartes. She wears her own set of paper wings and carries 2 hearts woven together and they are lifted by paper wings~~~
You have so many who think of you and care for you here.
May God bless you and give you peace. May He continue to wrap you and your family in his loving arms and keep you safe.

yours very kindly,
Christine
